Extra items: Colton possesses a large paddle which is generally used to stir huge vats of industial-sized meals for the crew, also doubles as a paddle in watery emergencies. He also carries a small notebook that contains all his recipes and notes he's made on how to properly multiply the recipes to feed the hungry masses.

Personality: Colton definitely fits into the "good-guy" archetype. He's friendly to superiors and subordinates, especially the young privates who are sent to him for potato-duty. He's very respectful of women, and will not tolerate sexism in his mess hall. There's nothing Colton enjoys more that to cook someone a good, hearty meal that not only feeds the body, but the soul as well.

Backstory: Colton was raised on an old Cottonee plantation by his single mother. His father was a lout, and had taken off when he found he had gotten Colton's mother pregnant. His mother was very careful to teach him how to properly respect a woman, instilling strong morals that still guide him today. Many of these lessons were taught to him as she was cooking a meal, and without a father to tell him that the kitchen was a woman's place, he began to take interest. She taught him everything she knew about soulful, Solaceon town cooking.
Once old enough, Colton opened up his own restaurant to provide for his mother. His recipes stood up for him where his experience could not, and he soon garnered much attention and many awards. When the war broke out, he applied immediately to be a military Chef for Kanto's army, determined to make the full-bellies of soldiers his responsibility.

Pokemon bio / personality: Sioux once lived in a rogue band of pawniard led by a terrifying Bisharp. In their circle, battle was a way of life, and being captured for military service was considered a great honour. Sioux was ecstatic when he finally found himself in a pokeball, less so when he found out that the most action his blades would be seeing was the bad-side of a potato. He harbours a lot of resentment towards his human master, considering him to be lower than scum. Still, he cuts a mighty fine Brunoise.

TRIVIA

Colton hates cigarettes and smokers, he believes cigarettes make his food taste less delicious than it should, that and they curb people's appetite.
Colton never curses, his mama taught him so.
Colton prefers a girl (or guy for that matter) who eats. He takes it rather personally if you don't finish what's on your plate.
When not in the galley, you can find Colton in the mess hall reviewing orders he's placed for supplies and also going over the roster of wherever he is working at currently, to ensure he's ordered enough to feed everyone without any excess that could spoil. This kind of intense planning causes him great stress, and also great sadness when he sees the names of recruits who he'd grown fond of suddenly be crossed of the list...
He has a gruff, southern drawl. He "reckons it's endearin'."
Sioux's name is a homonym. His given name comes from the tribe of native americans, but it also sounds like the french "Sous", as in "Sous Chef".
